I had also purchased the "SONY MDR-V150 STUDIO HEADPHONES" for my wife who enjoys listening to music on her laptop while she surfs the net & ever since she started using the Sony headphones she has been happy w/ them. The quality is what you can expect from any Sony product & my wife loves the way the ear covers her ears and the cord is longer than the normal headphones of the same type. These Headphones are at a great price for the quality and sound. I would recomend these to anybody who wants great sound. The only bad part about buying these Sony headphones for my wife is now I have to buy another two for my two children, but for what they cost its worth it.

About a month ago I searched for quality headphones without the high price. I came upon the sony MDR V150. It has 30 mm Drivers and a pretty good frequency range.
After using this headphone for a few weeks, the the piece that holds the headphone to the plastic strap broke and I tried many ways to fix it, but to no avail, but the sound quality is excellent for the price I paid.
For some reason I have had similar problems in the past with very high end headphones.
One advantage with this pair is that I have very small ears and they fit within the foam cup.
So if you have smaller ears this would be a great pair but be very careful with handling.

Comments about Sony MDR-V150 - Headphone:
As tech coordinator and music teacher in a school, these are the headphones I purchase for all my students (over 100 sets so far). They have good frequency response, are durable (unless abused), and last quite a while.
Drawbacks would include a cord that is too "sticky" and will not uncoil well, and when the cord is wrapped around the headphones, it breaks them at the temples. Otherwise, great.

Comments about Sony MDR-V150 - Headphone:
I bought a half dozen of these thinking they were a good value.
While the sound quality is good and the phones are comfortable to use, their is a small piece of plastic that keeps the earphone assembly from swinging away from the part that fits over your head. That small piece of plastic has broken on three of the headsets I bought, rendering them unusable.

Most important they are light,do not block air from your ears. If u have to wear headphones for hours and houres in a row every day, U`ll appreciate them. Price reflects the sound quality of course - so-so but exceptable. Plastic- prone to break, be carefull.

These headphones are awesome for checking a mix on. I certainly wouldn't want to enjoy music on these, but for any serious professional trying to get a clean mix, these headphones are perfect.

I bought this in late April in 2010. The right became silent now. Light use during summer filming only. Good sound quality but it won't last. Now I need to get another one. You get what you paied for.

Hooked these headphones up to my video camera and attached the boom mic. I could hear everything very clearly including all of the background sounds behind my subject. These will be very handy in the field.
