The Fujifilm HD331-124L HDCAM Videocassette, Large is designed to work with specific high-definition videotape recording and editing equipment. Stable tape transport and high durability are accomplished by using a specially developed binder with strong adhesion characteristics, and an optimized lubricant helps keep heads clean. Super Calendering Technology gives the magnetic layer an ultra-smooth surface that ensures stable head-to-tape contact. This provides an extremely high C/N ratio and low error rate, even for the short-wavelength digital recording of HDCAM systems. Archival quality storage characteristics are accomplished by using an extremely thin uniform layer of special anti-oxidant material that is applied to the surface of each metal magnetic particle to prevent deterioration during long-term storage. In addition, proprietary technologies are used to minimize tape shrinkage during archival storage.
