Since there's a Mac in the control room at my school, the awesome thing is that I can easily Log and Capture on FCP right off the DVC Pro deck that we have. The adapter is so easy easy to use, and awesomely transportable! Comes in handy around the TV station where I intern at, as well as for my assignments in digital video/editing classes. I'm glad that I have my own now, instead of having to hunt other people down and beg them to borrow theirs--that blows!

These are sturdy Adapters not the inferior plastic stuff you find from some sources. They securely hold the tape in place and fit seamlessly into the deck.

Since we purchased the Panasonic AJ-CS455, we have been able to use more of our legacy SD footage into our HD programming. This adapter allows us to use our mini cassette dvcam footage to be played in our Panasonic 1400. The upconverted video looks fantastic.
