Great piece of gear. Have used for about 7 years in mostly military ceremonial settings. Used with SONY DSR-PD170 in past; and now with SONY NXCAM 70 with camera mounted on top (have never used the UM-3 undermount). Very smooth vertical, horizontal, and skew movement. Complex movement is beautiful to watch. Quality workmanship in materials. Consistent with my experience with other Libec products - quality at a reasonable price. Recommendation: do not skimp on purchase of associated sticks, dolly, fluid head, or motor to move camera/head. If you buy this quality jib arm recommend purchasing commensurate quality support items for a complete quality system.

This is a very well-designed portable jib, that seems to be catered more toward a prosumer market. But we use it with full-size HD ENG cameras and it works great. The setup time is very fast, normally around 3 or 4 mins. However, the undermount adapter is not the greatest design. It's made to clamp on to handle of the camera and it's really flimsy with a large camera. Bottom line- it's a great addition to our production equipment. I can't think of a better portable jib out there.
