Comments about Pelican Soft Bag for Pro 1550 Case:
I was looking for a very versatile case that could be used for airline travel. This Pelican 1550 soft case fits inside the Pelican 1550 hard case. So, I carry the softcase with 2 dSLR bodies on board and it fits in most overhead compartments, while I checkin the Pelican hardcase (filled with other stuff) in baggage. When I arrive at my destination, I can put the softcase into the hard case and lock it. I carry a 6' security cable & padlock which allows me to lock it to the car trunk or in the hotel room, since I can't babysit the cameras all the time.
Lots of pockets, durable and feels good carrying the heavy photo gear. While at home, it makes a nice storage bag with the spot for everything, so I can keep track of what is missing or being used by someone else.

Comments about Pelican Soft Bag for Pro 1550 Case:
Well, it's a Pelican. That should sum it up - rugged construction, customizable storage, tons of nooks and pockets.
Can be used as both a shoulder bag or a backpack.
It's a nice hybrid of hard and soft-sided, with thin, but firm padding (actually absorbs impacts, rather than the soft foam in the cheap bags).

Comments about Pelican Soft Bag for Pro 1550 Case:
I was looking for something easy to work out of on a road trip, but also wanted something that wouldnot be too heavy to carry. Becasue this would fit over my suitcase handle, it seemed perfect. It was a little larger than I needed for the current trip, but will be ideal for longer trips and home storage.
