The Shure PS-6 pop filter reduces noise due to plosive "p" and "b" sounds. The filter features a 6 inch, 4-layer screen and includes an adjustable gooseneck and microphone stand clamp.

Comments about Shure PS-6 - Microphone Pop Filter:
I create gaming commentary videos on youtube. I use this pop filter with my Audio Technica AT2020 USB condenser microphone and it produces AMAZING quality. I hardly ever hear any pops and sizzles (S's?) anymore and I used to when I just used a pop filter that was included with my mic stand. Definitely recommend this to anyone who is serious about quality voice recordings.
The only con I can think of is the goose-neck part doesn't want to stay where you put it. Meaning it kind of springs back out straight. To fix this I have a rubber band keeping it attached to the mic stand to position it correctly.

Comments about Shure PS-6 - Microphone Pop Filter:
Recording without a filter and with the filter is like night and day. Without the filter the recoding is filled with the strong "P" and "S" sounds, but the filter generally eliminates those and leaves you with a cleaner sound. I strongly recommend it for anyone who likes to record music.

It effectively stops all 'b' and 'p' popping noises when recording vocals. Much better and more effective than other brands. Highly recommanded the Shure PS-6!

Comments about Shure PS-6 - Microphone Pop Filter:
This is the first pop filter I've owned, so I don't know how it compares to other types or brands. It seems like reducing plosives has at least as much to do with good technique as your pop filter. In other words, I don't know how much this reduces pops versus other filters, but don't think of it as a cure-all. It'll keep the spit off your mic though!

We use these for desktop recording of voice overs in training videos. They mount easily to the DS7E desk stand and can easily be placed for comfortable recording because of the flexible gooseneck. They make a huge difference in the voice recording and allow for very close proximity to the microphone. A must for clear and crisp recording.

Seems to do a bit of damage to the high ends, but it's perfect for the money. Blocks most pops! Gooseneck stays where it belongs for days and days. I would buy again just for this reason.

Stops the pops better than precious owned filter and the four layers decrease greatly breathing sounds so songs sound more natural.

Comments about Shure PS-6 - Microphone Pop Filter:
I chose this model because I figured you cannot go wrong with a Shure product and the price was fair. I am very happy with the pop filter. In addition to doing its job, it also looks very professional (i.e., "cool"). I found it very easy to attach to my mic stand boom. The gooseneck is very easy to adjust.

I've tried other pop filters that are kind of floppy and difficult to position. This one stays put and works perfectly.

Comments about Shure PS-6 - Microphone Pop Filter:
I needed a pop filter for a new condenser mic I purchased to record my vocals. Bought this Shure filter because I saw it being used on a Pixar film to record the actors, and figured if it's good enough for them, it's good enough for my music.
The screen is thick (it claims four separate filters) and blocks plosives well. It's less effective on sibilance but I'm not sure if pop filters are supposed to help there. The filter is lightweight, and the mechanism to attach it to the mic stand screws on tight and stays put.
My only complaint is that the swivel piece that attaches the filter to the neck seems to come loose easily, meaning that it's difficult to have the filter sit at a certain angle without really messing with it and getting it balanced just right. Otherwise, I'm happy with this and I would buy it again if something happened to it.

Comments about Shure PS-6 - Microphone Pop Filter:
Does exactly what it is supposed to, without excessive loss of high frequencies. The gooseneck is long enough and stable enough for consistent positioning. The clamp has not (so far) marred or scratched the mic stand I am using it with.

Stylish and functional, provides space for evenly distributed narration. No more kissing the mic!
Does the job and doesn't put you in the poor house. Better constructed than cheaper models of competitors.

Comments about Shure PS-6 - Microphone Pop Filter:
I purchased the PS-6 to replace my aging single-screen pop filter and am very impressed. I do voiceover work from a home studio, and the Shure filter is extremely effective at reducing plosive problems even at a close distance. The dual screen system works great, and the clamp attachment is solid and stays where you put it. Overall, a great buy.

Comments about Shure PS-6 - Microphone Pop Filter:
It eliminates the plosives like any good pop screen, but what's nice about this one is its lengthy gooseneck -- you can attach it a bit of a distance from you mic if that's a necessity.
