The Gepe Pro Daylight Slide Viewer #5003 is a unique viewing system. It is designed to accommodate formats ranging from 35mm, 6x4.5, 6x6, 6x7 up to 6x17cm.
- The 2x sliding glass lens floats at a 90° angle from the viewing surface and easily slides side-to-side to cover the negative area required
- Illumination is provided by 5000K fluorescent lamp which is rated for approximately 10,000 hours
- The unit is powered by 6 "AA" batteries (not included) or an optional 900ma AC adapter
- When not in use, the unit folds flat for easy storage

This is a well made unit. The dust cover case is very handy. I wish it was a little brighter when looking at dark transparencies, but because it is battery operated that is an understandable limitation. It works fine in a darkened room for any transparency.

I was very displeased with the amount of light from this product. I could barely tell when it was on. In fact, I even turned off the lights in the room just to see a difference between the viewer being turned on and off. Obviously, that's impractical. I'm returning it.

For viewing 35 mm slides or bigger format, this is handy. Runs on batteries for portablity, or you can get the optional AC adapter to plug in. Slides appear in true color, no blueish florescent color. Gadget folds flat for storage. Lens is removable. I used it to take macro shots of slides. Projecting slides on a screen did better.
