I do cinematography work and this spot attachment worked great. The only problem is the attachment is very large and becomes a burden. If the size does not bother you then the attachment works very well.

It's so nice to have a 1 degree spot but it does make the meter quite bulky. I carry it around with the lumisphere installed and change it out for the spot meter when required.

If you have the L-358 and a job that requires shooting a figure from the stands, this is the tool that will make the first shot count.

If you already own a Sekonic L-348, this is a terrific addition. It is as easy to use as the 358. But if you're going to buy a new meter and want a spot meter, buy an l-758, which includes the spot meter for only a bit more than the total for the 358 and spot meter.

I read that this attachment is too bulky, but I thought I would give it a try and I'm glad I did. Let's face it photography is a bulky hobby unless you're taking point and shoot images (nothing wrong with them), on which case you don't need a light meter. Get it, it's great!

Bought for landscape photography. It works extremely well, and has nice glass. Construction is very nice too-has a good heft to it. The metering in my Nikon D80 is decent, but for spot on awesome results I use the Sekonic L-358 with the 1 Degree Viewfinder. No complaints what so ever. Buy it and your photos will improve immediately!- Doug W. Orlando,Fl

For those tricky multiple flash shots.
Unfortunately your flash has to deliver at least f8 at the subject when using the 1 degree viewfinder with the L-358. The 5 & 10 degree viewfinders can meter flash from f2.8 to f124. The 1 degree is the most precise if you have the light. Works very well for a left eyed view. You really need the case that accomodates the L-358 with viewfinder.

This is what the L-358 was missing. I was used to the 1 deg. spot metering on an L-558R. This makes the L-358 suitable for any situation.

This is great spot attachment for my Sekonic L-358 meter. At first I wasn't sure I was going to like it because I was so used to the in-camera meter. After some internet research about using a hand-held spot meter and the need to take several readings of a scene, a little practice, I am quite pleased with my exposure results. As with any Sekonic product, it is well built and well designed. The only negative is the size. It is rather large and heavy. I causes the swivel head on the meter to turn on it's own. Other than that it is great!!!
