The Kenko SGW-043 wide-angle lens is extremely small, and was created for high resolution compact video cameras that have 37mm sized filter threads or smaller. This high-quality lens has an extreme curvature of field, or fish-eye effect - a creative look for extreme sports, web-casts, etc. The optical glass lens elements are multi-coated to reduce the possibility of flare, ghosting and internal reflection.

Although this lens may seem cheap and useless at such a low price, there is more than meets the eye and predisposition in this bad boy. The glass isn't the best out there and the edges are very soft, but I would still recommend this lens for someone with a cheaper camera who is newer to filming and or editing and wants to experience the distortion a fish eye gives without dropping insane amounts of money on a lens more expensive than their camera itself.

Using this on a Canon HF21 and it works great. Screw it on and you're good to go. This lens is a fisheye. I'm also going to be picking up a standard wide-angle. For the price, get both. You won't regret it!

I use a lot of lenes skydiving and this is one of the best. You can zoom without loosing focus. It's a good wide angle lens. The footage is always beautifully clear. I don't have a bad thing to say about it.

I use it on my Sony handycam SR-200 and it fits and looks wonderful.
The glass quality isn't bad at all and now I can have a wider angle but not too much fishy.
I would definitely recommend it if you are looking for an inexpensive but functional wide angle lens.

This is one awesome fisheye. I use it with a Canon HF20 for action sports filming, and it has been flawless. Crisp and clear all the way through the zoom. The lens is visible on the footage when zoomed all the way out, but thats just a common characteristic of a fisheye lens. All around, pretty good for the price.

This was exactly what I needed. I haven't tested this lens with an HD camera but it works perfect with my panasonic gs320. If you need to fit more in fame and want that "gonzo" effect, this is the lens for you.

It is a great skate boarding fish eye. Almost no vignetting with my Sony DCR-hc52 camcorder.
Solid construction. I can zoom almost over the whole range without getting blurry. I bought before this Vivitar .21 fish eye. I could not even make it work. Don't make the same mistake. Get the Kenko and you will be happy.

very wide view, doesnt compare to a century death lens but it gets the jobs done for skate lines and for its price. worth having if your a beginner filmer for skateboarding and need a fisheye...get this one. once you get to the upper levels of filming i recommend the century ultra fisheye.

I use this lense for skydiveing videos. Its so wide that you can see my face in some of the videos, and black edges around the sides. But its a good starting lense for beginners like me. I would rather buy this lense than a higher quality one for 5 time the money.

The lens is amazing. This price is rediculous for the quality. I use this for snowboarding and skimboarding. It lets you get closer to your riders and give you an amazing shot. You dont have to worry about missing your shot with this lens.
