The Kata Grizzly-3 (CBP-3) Pro Camcorder Backpack is designed to hold full size and medium size camcorders with accessories. It can also be used as a daily camera case. The case is made from a tough, gray 1000 denier Cordura exterior and contoured, thickly padded interior with six layers of protection. The Modi-Vers system allows the back pack fit a large rage of cameras; from compact cameras with many accessories to full size professional cameras with battery and lens installed. Two aluminum staves reinforce top flap to protect view finder and on-camera microphone.
The extra padded main compartment opens horizontally for easy access to camera and accessories, even when the case is on your back. Five pockets provide various storage options while also protecting your equipment by separating it from your personal effects. The Grizzly-3 presents four carrying options: on your back using the advanced harness system (including the Beta waist strap and the ZigZag shoulder straps), on your shoulder or across your chest using the APSS Advanced Padded Shoulder Strap, by hand using the Interlocking Handle, or wheeled with the Insertrolley System (not included).
The interior of the bag is made of a loop fabric called Yelloop to which you can attach the Modi-Vers dividers. They are a bright yellow, so that the contents can be viewed with ease. Toblerone shock absorbers are made from synthetic thermo-rubber that absorbs shocks and protects the case from abrasion, dirt, mud and standing water. A Rain Cover is included to protect the case from the elements.
- The Modi-Vers System allows you to create compartments that meet your requirements. The divider can be cut with scissors to any desired size. You can attach the newly cut divider to another divider or the walls of the bag with a special Touch Fastener connector.
- The shoulder strap attaches to the case via a Dual-Use Aluminum Buckle. This rugged yet lightweight buckle accepts either a quick-release hook or the strap itself. Either option ensures that the strap will cross the shoulder at the optimal angle for comfort and stability.
- Patented Interlocking and Inverted Interlocking handles have been designed and field-tested for sure grip and optimal comfort. For heavier and wider bags, the left side of the handle locks to the right side of the handle for added security.
- Omega Hidden Backpack System is a concealment unit, which gives you rapid access to the harness and waist belt and allows easy re-packing when needed.
- The lining is Kata's Yelloop material which is fabricated especially for the anti-scratch and anti-static requirements while allowing divider attachment for internal partitioning.

Right out in the open- this pack is large. I needed a pack that had an internal frame and a waist belt to take the weight off of the shoulder straps. This bag does a fairly good job of that, however, because the waist belt is designed to hide beneath a flap to convert the bag to a shoulder duffel when not in use, they loose some of their efficiency in weight transfer.
The interior comes with two movable dividers that velcro to the interior. More dividers can be purchased separately. The interior is nice. I have fashioned several velcro straps of my own to allow me to configure the interior to how I like. The pack includes the rain cover and tripod holder (which I didn't know and purchased separately). External pockets allow me to carry rain gear and a lunch separate from the camera. There is also a pocket on the exterior which I use for a hydration bladder.
