The Hoya 49mm Neutral Density (NDX2) 0.3 Multi-Coated (HMC) Filter has several uses and offers the possibility to achieve otherwise unachievable results. ND filters appear gray and reduce the amount of light reaching the film. They have no effect on color balance.
Multi-coated to minimize reflection at the filter surfaces which reduces flare and ghosting.

Comments about Hoya 49mm Neutral Density (NDX2) 0.3 Filter:
Defects in the coatings, mediocre glass. Bluck. My own fault, I should know better than to buy mediocre glass. I bought it for an old OM-1 that I am having fun with and didn't want to invest a lot of money. I'd buy Tiffen before I'd buy Hoya HMC again, at least they're dirt cheap, or buy nice filters.
