Comments about Kaiser 35mm Film retriever:
I've used other film retrievers that work far better and faster. It takes me about 10-15 tries before actually retrieving leader from the cartridge. Some people other than myself were able to do it in 3-5 tries. The instructions were hard to follow and even a bit misleading.

Comments about Kaiser 35mm Film retriever:
Replaced my old Ilford retriever with this item... followed the directions, followed others' directions (online), retrieved one roll kodak, ruined one roll fuji (film broke from spool internally when attempting retrieval for 25 minutes)... on third roll, agfa, ripped notches of retriever's "2nd tongue".
Not only does it not retrieve, this implement does in fact come apart and is re-assemblable, but the company does not sell replacements for this small "2nd tongue" part that actually grabs film sprockets and is too delicate. Counting this review, Kaiser's wasted much of my time + $.

Comments about Kaiser 35mm Film retriever:
Good for retrieving film that's accidentally rewinded in the case. I keep this on me all of the time. Kind of hard to use though... takes me at least 5 tries to retrieve film. Then again, maybe it's just me.

Comments about Kaiser 35mm Film retriever:
Very good stuff, not working with 100% of my films though - I couldn't retrieve the leader from a few cartridges no matter how long I tried. Overall I am very happy anyway, makes the darkroom chores easier.
