Comments about Hoya 52mm Yellow #K2 (HMC) Multi-Coated Glass Filter for Black & White Film:
The yellow filter darkens bright blue skies and water, and enhances contrast in B&W images. This provides a nice efect and heightens the drama of landscapes and seascapes. The problem is the yellow filter costs 1+ f-stops in aperture or shutter speed.

Comments about Hoya 52mm Yellow #K2 (HMC) Multi-Coated Glass Filter for Black & White Film:
I shoot large format B&W exclusively and use this on my Nikkor-M 300mm. Good filter for moderate sky & cloud intensification. High optical quality at a reasonable price. Can't think of any shortcomings. I like Hoya and use their filter products on all of my lenses.

Comments about Hoya 52mm Yellow #K2 (HMC) Multi-Coated Glass Filter for Black & White Film:
No glares, no loss of quality or sharpness. Hides blemishes on people's faces well. Darkens sky just a bit, but not much. Maybe, combine with a PL filter for added effect? Or get a red filter. Filter is a bit too thick, but no noticeable vignetting on wide angle lenses. Multicoating makes it a bit difficult to clean; dust clings to it like you wouldn't believe. Suggest getting one of those lens cleaning pens. Don't use lens cleaning fluid - you'll just get a lotta streak marks.
