Cokin P121L Graduated G2 Light Gray Neutral Density Filter - Often it is necessary or desirable to balance the light intensity in one part of a scene with another. This is especially true in situations where you don't have total light control, as in bright contrasty landscapes. Exposing for the foreground will produce a washed-out, over-exposed sky while exposing for the sky will leave the foreground dark and under-exposed.
Cokin graduated gray ND filters are part clear, part neutral density. They allow the transition to be blended into the scene, often imperceptibly. A ND.6-to-clear, with a two stop differential, will generally compensate the average bright sky-to-foreground situation and is also the most popular density of the series.
Note! This filter measures 84mm wide and fits the Cokin P series holder

Comments about Cokin P121L Graduated G2 Light Gray Neutral Density Filter (1-Stop):
Its a decent filter for the prize.
Does its job as intended.
1 Stop may not be all that effective to notice any siginificant benefit but I bought it to stack it on a 3 stop filter for certain conditions.
Filter looks extremely cheap, almost like a cheap widnow of a chinese made toy bus... but the box looks more expensive then the filter ... in fact the box is made of really good durable platsic material and looks elegent. I think Cokin needs to spend more money on the glass even if it means giving cheaper or no box.
The filter definately looks rediculously cheap on my L glass but at the moment I am willing to spend only this much as I need to learn more about using filters correctly. Once I get good at it, I will definately buy better quality filters. I would recommend it only for those who have entry level lenses or if you are like me who wants to learn first before spending extra on better filters.

One filter used on different lenses thanks to the holder kit from Cokin.
Does the job. Makes daylight photography more fun and adds more 'drama' to bright indoor photography.
Worth building a good set of these...
