International orders*Wimberley has a system of flash bracket components that are modular, versatile and easily stowed in a small space when not in use. Known as the Shape-Shifter Modular Flash Bracket System, the components connect without tools. None of the combinations slip, twist or creep-even during intense action. They're integrated with the venerable Arca-Swiss type quick release system, now dominant as the industry standard for macro and telephoto shooting.
Combining the modules 1 through 4 of the Shape-Shifter system, Combo 3 offers everything from macro adjustment to the ability to attach a flash bracket to an Arca-Swiss type quick release plate on a lens with a tripod collar. Additionally you can extend the flash forward from the camera or to the side of the lens with this combination-very useful when working from a blind. You'll have the ability to adjust the vertical distance between flash and lens. As with all of the Shape Shifter components, and unlike other manufactuerer's products, parts are captive to prevent detachment from accidentally unscrewing them too far while in the field. Total weight of this combination is 1.30 lb.

Comments about Wimberley Combo-3 Telephoto + Macro Combo:
I have tried seemingly every macro bracket made for the last 30 years, as well as some custom versions. All styles of the Lepps, others modelled after Shaw, hacked (butchered) Stroboframes etc. etc.
I always liked the Wimberly when I saw demos of it, but figured it was way overpriced. Frustration finally took over and I succumbed. Now my only frustration is that I didn't do this 10 years ago....Yes, it is expensive for what it is, but it makes my macro life so much easier it is astonishing. Well designed, engineered and built to last. It holds a 580EX in the most excruciating angles and positions, yet holds it solidly. More importantly, adjustments are really easy, as is setup. Flexible kit for off-camera telephoto shooting too. Would be 5 stars if it was even just a little cheaper.

Comments about Wimberley Combo-3 Telephoto + Macro Combo:
I bought about three months ago...great for what it does...I tend to shoot macro alot more now then before; because of the number of angle light I can put on an object.
Love the adjusting screws, because it will let you know when you loose the screw too far.

Comments about Wimberley Combo-3 Telephoto + Macro Combo:
I bought this mainly to use flash (with a Better Beamer) while shooting birds/wildlife with my 600/4. While the basic clamp and vertical arm would do that, having the extra arm with the swivels increases the possiblities enormously. Works well for closeups/macros where flash positioning can be critical; I can position my flash across a very wide area. I believe it can be used with most, if not all, Arca type plates; I'm using mine with Jobu Design plates. Very well made, light weight. Excellent choice if you don't need Wimberly's "Whole Enchilada".
Not quite as easy to pack as some others I've seen, but still not bad.
