I purchased in April and it died in October, I used it for 4-5 times and the usage of each time is less than 10 mins. What a unreliable product.

This light is very bright and as a result is great when shooting in a dark environment. If you use it for interviews, your talent may be squinting just abit. For the money, it's not bad but the battery is very heavy. I swear it looks identical to a motorcycle battery. The first time I used this light on a shoot, I had it on for about 5 minutes and it began to smoke. It scared my client so much, they had me remove it from their establishment. (very embarrassing) I'm pretty sure this was a start up thing - burning off the newness, but I haven't use the light since. Never-the-less, if you are looking for an afordable on camera light source, this may work out well for you.

The light itself is great, but the silly cord that hangs down to reach the battery is not detachable, so it's ALWAYS hanging there.

Great light, fills in those spots your video lights may leave shadows. Fits tight on camcorder Sony TRV-950 well. Battery is a little on the heavy side, but includes belt clip to carry.
