Hensel Honeycomb Grid Set of 3 - 7"
This 3 piece honeycomb grid set provides beam spreads of 20, 30, or 40° when mounted on the Hensel 7" reflector.
Grids, Snoots, Barndoors, and Filters are essential accessories for any lighting system. These devices alter the shape, intensity, or color of the light output from your flash heads. Consider them as a painter would a brush, or a sculptor would a knife, or chisel.
Use of a grid will result in a small circle of light, when it is attached to the front of your light source. The size of the circle of light will be determined by the density of the snoot, its thickness, and the distance of the subject.

At first, I was not sure if I really needed honeycombs. I am happy I spent the money now. Honeycombs are great for use as a quick hair light especially if you don't have a dedicated hair light or you don't have a tall ceiling. Because you can specifically direct the light where you need it, you will have numerous options to choose from, ranging from hair, rim and kicker lighting. The Hensel kit pops in and out easily. It doesn't get too hot but keep in mind that the grids are made of metal and will conduct heat from the modeling light so common sense will dictate there. I have no complaints, they are what they are.
