Tascam IFAD/DM 8 Channel ADAT Optical Expansion Input/Output Card for the Tascam DM-24 and DM-3200 Digital Consoles
The Tascam IF-AD/DM option for the DM-24 and DM-3200 consoles allows 8-channels of digital audio I/O per card. Use the card to intergrate the DM-24 or DM-3200 with ADAT recorders or ADAT compatible devices such as hard disk recorders and computer workstation interfaces. The IF-AD/DM also provides an ADAT Sync port.

This is a great way to increase your I/O on the DM-24 at the cheapest cost for new equipment! I still cannot believe that B&H carried this product for so long but I am very happy that they do! This unit performs exactly as it should, adding sends/returns to the 24 channels of the DM-24 which makes it perfect for digital transfers to/from software as well as tracking from an Alesis HD24 or other device. In my setup, the IF/AD-DM is used for an interface of 16 channels for MOTU transfers between my MX-2424 to Sonar using the 2408. I love my DM-24 and I am happy to have it in my studio!
