This unit fits onto any camera's hot shoe, and it emits an infra red beam which ensures triggering of all Monolights and AC Strobe Power Packs that have an infra red receiver except Dynalite.

Triggers an infra red receiver -- built-in, or added on to your monolight or power pack.
Triggers, even from a Canon's hot shoe, which usually has problems with other brands of infra red triggers.

            Comments about Interfit Infrared Transmitter:

I use the product to drive two Interfit 300's, and it works great. Battery-life could be improved, but if you don't mind changing 2-AA's every few hours, I've found the product very helpful.

Not one misfire in more than 400 actuations.

This is a great affordable add on to our studio. We use Interfit lighting and this is so much easier without having to worry about a cord.

                  Comments about Interfit Infrared Transmitter:

I bought this trying to save money as I bought the expensive Interfit studio system and thought I'd be ok with it. It worked for about 2 hours & then started not firing. It was a very disappointing experience. I'm going to return it and get three of the first-class radio units, what I should have done in the first place.

Great start to doing the job and within less than a week the transmitter stopped working! Not good when you have jobs lined up! Went back to using sync cables (which limits my style) while I wait for a replacement!

                      Comments about Interfit Infrared Transmitter:

                      Pros:
lightweight and for my purpose, fast recycling time, reasonably priced.

                      Cons:
Out of the box, I needed to chip-off part of the shoe to fit my 20d or 40d, otherwise, it has to be forced into the shoe running the risk of damaging both the camera and the transmitter.
