I use this when traveling. It is very compact when taken apart. It is perfect the height for using with my Steadicam. I can pack it in a fairly small case.

Comments about Avenger A2016D Turtle Base Century C Stand, Detachable Column - 4.5' (1.4m):
Exactly like a regular C-Stand, just shorter.
Got this for a Steadicam Pilot, but would work with Glidecam, Varizoom, etc... For Steadicam work, it is the perfect height(s) to set up the rig. An alternative to the Steadicam SteadiSTAND.
When taken apart, it has a very small foot print & easily portable.
Works great for general lighting uses, but the max height of 54" limits other uses. It would be great if it had another 12" of max height w/o increasing the minimum height.
As is, the max height on this stand is at the minimum height of standard 40" C-Stands, so if you have both, you can move from one to the next if you need to go higher / lower.
