The Avenger/Manfrotto E600C Steel Snap-In Pin has a hexoganal end that snaps into a Super Clamp; the other end will accept a lighting fixture that has a 5/8" female receptor.

I considered buying the lighter and cheaper version of this but I'm glad I didn't. These are heavy duty and will last forever. I use them to attach Uni400 monolights to superclamps.

If you are hanging 5/8" mount lights or other same size gear a couple of these are a must have. Coupled this with either an Avenger clamp or Bogen Super Clamp and you have a solid coupling and an easy way to mount about anywhere.

I had two manfrotto super clamps that needed the pins. The price for them is relatively inexpensive and they are a solid pice of steel. I would definitely recommend purchasing the steel pins for their durability.

For a reasonable price, you get a VERY durable steel pin with heavy chrome plating and which can take actual use, unlike the 'standard' brass short pin often sold with the Superclamp. It is an honest rendering of a Mole-style pin, and tall enough to be useful- that is, to mount a proper grip head safely.
