JBL N-24AWM2 Northridge Series All Weather 4" 2-Way 100-Watts Bookshelf Speaker - Pair (White)
The N24AWM2, a 2-way 4" bookshelf, weather-resistant loudspeaker with high-impact molded enclosure, reproduces sound with unmatched clarity and power.
The PolyPlas (polymer-coated cellulose fiber) cone woofer features traditional JBL engineering - the same technologies used in JBL's Professional equipment that can be found in stadiums, music halls and movie theaters around the world.
Shielded components allow placement near video monitors. High-temperature, oversized Kapton voice coil and HeatScape motor structure allow these speakers to effortlessly play all types of movies and music. The FreeFlow flared port increases bass response without adding unwanted port noise. JBL's custom-designed drivers allow the use of simple, Straight-line Signal Path (SSP) crossover networks with high-quality electrical components, minimizing processing that could degrade the signal.
- Titanium-Composite High Frequency Transducer Domes
- Light enough to accurately reproduce lighting-fast sounds like cymbal crashes, yet strong enough to eliminate distortion and ear fatigue in the critical high-midrange frequency band.
- Elliptical Oblate Spheroidal (EOS) Waveguides
- Enables speakers to evenly disperse high frequencies and create precise stereo imaging over a wide listening area - instead of in just a tiny "sweet spot" right in front of the speakers.
- PolyPla
- Enhances the organic fiber structure of low-and midrange-frequency cones, without adding significant weight. The PolyPlas coating eliminates internal resonances and unifies pistonic motion. You hear tighter bass and improved midrange response.
- Heatscape Precision Motor Structure
- Protects low-frequency transducers from destructive thermal buildup, the number-one enemy of professional and home speaker systems. Heat is conducted away from the transducer's sensitive voice coil and dispersed.
- Freeflow Port Architecture
- Extends low-frequency response by coupling internal air motion to a computer-designed aperture with a flared shape, allowing maximum air flow without audible "port noise". The result is room filling bass from a speaker that doesn't fill your room.

Compact size and clean lines make for an unobtrusive appearance. I have a pair of these mounted from the ceiling as rear surround speakers for my home theater setup. Can be oriented vertically or horizontally. The sound quality is exactly what you'd expect from JBL - excellent!

Good smooth sounding little speaker from JBL. This model had more bass than other more expensive models that I auditioned at the same store. It has a nice warm tone than can be easily listened too for long periods with no ear fatique. Nice look and cabinet design too. Easily removable grills, decent binding post on the rear, and some quality looking drivers. Item comes with a nice "ball/swivel" wall mount that allows you to position the speakers at about any angle. There are no wall anchors or harware provided. You will have to supply the items to attach the wall plate.
