Man what a great tool. MOST of my service calls are BAD cables. This tester saves me alot of time and trouble. I check stage cables before every show. no problems for me.

Comments about Behringer CT-100 Cable Tester:
This unit has made my job so much easier when dealing with troubleshooting audio problems on the platform at my Church. Sometimes it's a mic cable, sometimes it's a mic connector and when the cable shows okay on this little tester, then I look at the connector on the platform. Sure takes the guesswork out. This unit is small, has a belt clip for hands-free operation.

Unit works very well, If you wiggle too hard you may trip it up, but with the right touch its great. The directions could be written better to include the different patterns and what they mean.

As I do live sound for a couple of bands, this is a must have in my toolkit. Great little tester for doing just the basics. Seems well constructed, and I trust the Behringer name.

Comments about Behringer CT-100 Cable Tester:
I had several massive piles of cables that had gathered up over about 15 years of running sound and performing as a musician. I had been dreading having to go through them one at a time and checking to see which were still good, what was trash and what might be able to be salvaged. I bought the CT-100 from B&H, it was the lowest priced unit available and worked perfect. I saved hours of time and it didn't cost $100 like some other units. The best thing is the read out for the signals. I found that some cables that wouldn't work only had a minor issue and I know exactly which pin wasn't working correctly now so all I need is a quick solder point each to fix about 6 cables that otherwise would have ended up in the trash. This tester is a must for any sound man or musicians that have a lot of gear. I've always been the one guy in the band that knows how to run the PA so I've always had lots of cables to deal with.

Comments about Behringer CT-100 Cable Tester:
I AM THE DRUMMER IN MY BAND. IM ALSO THE FIX IT GUY ! WE HAVE A TON OF CORDS THAT WE KEPT THROWING IN THE "BAD" BOX. WELL, THANKS TO THIS WONDERFUL GERMAN PRODUCT I CAN FIN. SEE THE BOTTOM OF THE BOX AGAIN! MOST WERE BAD, SOME WERE NOT (guitar players always blame the cord !) THIS UNIT DID EXACTLY WHAT IT SAID IT COULD, HANDS DOWN ! IT'S NOT A PLASTIC TOY EITHER, I WAS SURPRIZED HOW HEAVY IT FELT WHEN I OPENED THE BOX. WITH THE CORDS I HAVE REPAIRED IN THE LAST FEW DAYS I COULD BUY A HUNDRED OF THESE. PRICE IS NOT ALWAYS THE FACTOR WHEN IT COMES TO QUALITY. SOMETIMES A COMPANY CARES ENOUGH TO GIVE YOU BOTH !! BUY IT !!

Comments about Behringer CT-100 Cable Tester:
As a long time musician I created a habit of throwing cables that wouldn't appear "right" into a box, never following up or repairing them. This has created more problems when grabbing a "questionable" cord to reuse. Over the years. they mixed with good cords. Within an hour or receiving the CT-100 Tester I had gone through all my cables, repaired 2 and tossed 2. No more guessing! At this price you can't afford not to have one. Thanks for the great [...] pricing!

Comments about Behringer CT-100 Cable Tester:
It shows intermittents in cables and inserts tones on amps for tracing the signal to the fault. If I ever find my older one I will have two of these. I love fixing things at church and the CT-100 helps stay happily doing the fixes!

This is a great piece of gear to have in the equipment bag. Tests lots of combinations. The instructions are lacking, but if you go to Ebs website, they have a good sheet for their product which is 5X the cost. No problem with the gear and love the test tone feature.
CT-100 is a piece of gear for the price that you would be crazy not to have!

At first glance, this unit gives you more information about your cables than you think.
I like the test tone feature, as well. I would like for it to have had Speakon capability, but for the cost, it can't be beat as far as the function and utility it provides.

Warns the grounding problems (!)

Comments about Behringer CT-100 Cable Tester:
What a great tool for quickly determining whether or not the cable is the problem. Easy to use, works for all my cable types. It's versatile, yet very affordable. Wish I had bought this years ago.
Diagrams of which LEDs, when lit, represent good wiring would have been helpful, but it doesn't take long to remember the patterns.

Comments about Behringer CT-100 Cable Tester:
I needed something small and simple to keep track of my good cables in my field bag. As soon as I got it, I was able to pick out THREE faulty or troublesome cables from my stack. This product is extremely simple to use and it's small size makes it perfect if you do a lot of field work. I haven't made use of the test tone, but it's good to have just in case anyway.

Comments about Behringer CT-100 Cable Tester:
I've been searching for a device that simply creates a 1k tone in order to match levels I record during film production with the levels in my editing system. Since this device is mainly a cable tester I will be looking forward to using this function, although I honestly just needed some simple tone. I could not find any device cheaper than this to produce tone for me.

Comments about Behringer CT-100 Cable Tester:
I bought the CT-100 to verify that some of my XLR cables are indeed bad. It showed me that one of my XLR's definitely had some serious issues, and that my other ones were okay. It was very easy to use, and testing did not take long at all.
Getting ready to test, however, was not fun. The battery cover is screwed on, and my partner had a difficult time unscrewing it. The included belt clip goes right over the battery cover. I thought it would be much easier on the user to not have to unscrew so many screws to get to the battery. The optimal number would be 0.
I haven't used the other features on there, yet, but it's good to know they're there. I do like the fact that it's so much cheaper than the next competitor. I am willing to forget about the whole battery cover thing and just tape it up.
Overall, I think this is a good enough product to make me recommend it to everyone.

First day I was able to sort out the box of cables (we all have one) and quickly fix them if required. Visiting bands are quickly put in place when this shows its their cables and not my equipment at fault, they then normal ask were they can get one.
