The Fender Passport PD-250 portable sound system features a high-quality set of speakers utilizing the proprietary DSA Array design, which offers very tight dispersion and excellent feedback rejection, and was co-developed by Fender and a prominent speaker manufacturer. Each cabinet houses two full-range woofers and two full-range tweeters.
This surprisingly lightweight system collapses into a black, molded luggage-style case, and includes a 6-Input mixer with global, and individual, channel EQ, panning and volume controls. Fender has also installed a digital reverb that may be assigned to either the mains or individual channels. A pair of Cardioid handheld microphones, and microphone and speaker cables, are also part of the system package.
The PD-250 system operates on either 12 Volt DC power, or via the internal swithchable AC power supply, providing true portability and enabling worldwide use. An expansion Docking Bay has been provided, for use with Fender's custom VHF wireless microphone systems.
The PD-250 is a value-laden and very affordable portable presentation and event solution, accommodating audiences of 125 to 250 persons.

Comments about Fender Passport Deluxe PD-250 250 Watt Portable Sound System:
We bought this system for use with small 30-100 people groups. However, we have used it with as many as 350. people just fine. With the extra inputs we use an ipod for music and still have the microphone for talking. A little heavy for "portable" but you get the abilities of a rack system in a portable case. Tough to beat!

Comments about Fender Passport Deluxe PD-250 250 Watt Portable Sound System:
I tested it at home and it sounded surprisingly good. But realized lugging it to a gig that its too heavy (I'm a small woman). Wish they'd put handles on the speakers so the three parts could be carried separately too. I'm exchanging for the 150.

This is the best portable speakers I have ever seen. They are so well designed, the aesthetics, the materials. So well thought through. I would recommend this product any day. I use it for my church services. This system is good for gatherings upto 200 people.

Comments about Fender Passport Deluxe PD-250 250 Watt Portable Sound System:
Great sound for backyard or smaller outdoor parties. I'd recommend getting the speaker stands, almost a must. Wouldn't use with a full band, but for practice or small combos would be fine. Easy to get around, but if walking far, use a dolly. I would recommend this PA to anyone who likes to have summer parties or performs outdoors. If you are looking at the PD-150, skip the PD-150, spend the extra money and go right to this model. B&H had the price, by far, with free shippping.

We use this system for events. The sound quality is excellent and we found it very easy to assemble. Music volume is automatically reduced when someone steps up to the mike, a great feature.

Comments about Fender Passport Deluxe PD-250 250 Watt Portable Sound System:
This is a great design and product for presentation of my sound compositions at galleries and museums. I've been wanting something truly portable and this is it. The EQ settings allow for optimum sound quality no matter the venue. It's not lightweight, but how could it be?? I'm pretty small and I can easily manage it like a big suitcase.

Comments about Fender Passport Deluxe PD-250 250 Watt Portable Sound System:
I've used these Passports for years now for small outdoor events with various groups that I've worked with. In fact, they've accompanied me around the world when I've needed to conduct events outside. When two of our units finally had enough after eight years of constant abuse, I didn't hesitate to recommend purchasing two more.
Highly recommended. Easy to use and portable.
