Gepe Glassless Slide Mounts - Besides the standard format slide mounts, Gepe, to a great extent, accommodates special needs. For example - slide mounts for the Minox miniature format, half frame, APS or the Hasselblad Xpan camera are available.
The special format slide mounts are mainly glass mounts, but there are also a few glassless models. These mounts are made for specific and unique camera formats, special purpose use and preferences such as special effects in slide shows.

- The air exchange system enables the slide to breathe which helps to eliminate bacterium and Newton rings
- The mount prevents penetration of dust

I typically like to mount my own slides as commercial develop and mount operations are prone to scratch slides or mis-cut slides in an effort to achieve quick turnaround.
These mounts are nice and stiff and don't distort when using a hand viewer compared to many lighter and cheaper mounts out there. The metal mask works well and it's easy to locate the slide square before pressing the two faces together.
Dual color, dark back and white front makes it dead easy to avoid locating slides back to front in slide trays or carousels particularly when organizing slides in areas of poor light.
Only downsides I can see is that they are fairly thick compared to lighter plastic and card mounts and as a result require more space for storage.
The mounts also don't facilitate keeping the film flat, although the metal mask I believe helps prevent curvature to some extent when compared with basic plastic mount systems out there.
If you are looking at an econonical way of mounting your own slides or plan to re-mount existing slides I would highly recommend that you try this quality product.
