Comments about Ilford FP4 Plus 120 Black & White Print Film (ISO-125):

This film is not, "exceptionally fine grain," like the description claims. I would characterize it as a 200 speed film, and 200 speed films are not really meant to be fine-grained. But it does have a good grain for a 200 speed film.

More importantly, for people who do not care about grain size, this film has a wonderful tonal range, and that is its main selling point in my opinion.

Comments about Ilford FP4 Plus 120 Black & White Print Film (ISO-125):

Ilford continues to give film shooters extremely high quality film to work with. This film replaced PX125 and has equal dynamic range and image quality. Great contrast without being harsh.

Comments about Ilford FP4 Plus 120 Black & White Print Film (ISO-125):

I used FP4+ (120 size) to test my new MF camera. The film comes in a box with very clear instructions and developing time information. I rate the film 125 EI and used in shady and under direct sunlight areas. One roll gave me 15 frames. I developed the film in D76 1:1 for 11 minutes at 20 º C with 500 ml (250 D76+250 distilled water) using the agitation recommendations by Ilford. The results are good however in sunny locations the shadow detail was lost so next time I will rate the film to 64, 80 or 100 EI and decrease the developing times accordingly. The developed film became extremely flat with no curls and now it is very easy to scan or enlarge.

I use FP4 Plus film for portrait, architectural, and landscape photography. The film produces excellent contrast, resolution of fine detail, and tonality. For small-format handheld photography, I prefer 400-speed film. For medium and large format photography, FP4 Plus film is my first choice.

Stunning low ISO film. I absolutely love it. Virtually no grain whatsoever even with huge prints. It's much softer in contrast than my go-to favorite TriX, which I really like for many purposes. Just fantastic. I will be ordering several bricks.

I've returned to shooting slower speed films in medium format after years of shooting 400 speed films and was blown away by FP4. I'm developing in Rodinal and it is so sharp and the tonality is wonderful!

Comments about Ilford FP4 Plus 120 Black & White Print Film (ISO-125):

I use Ilford 125 to shoot animal portraits-mostly cats and dogs. The film's slower sensitivity allows for great details, especially as the negative is more than twice the size of 35 mm film. I suppose the downside is for shooting fast moving pictures, but my specialty is pet portraits, so the film works wonderfully for this purpose.
