Designed to meet the high standards of the most critical, this earpiece is lightweight with a flexible design making mic placement virtually unlimited. Can be used hands-free with VOX-capable Motorola two-way radios, or use the radios.
The Push-To-Talk (PTT) button activates the microphone making it easier to hear in noisy or hushed environments. Earpiece fits on the outside of either ear and the boom mic bends for easy positioning.

I use this product when I am shooting subjects with my 300mm+ lens who are hundreds of yards away. Rather than yelling directions, I simply relay the message over the earpiece. I have used this indoors and outdoors and the sound quality is clear.
This version is not the handsfree VOX style. However this suits my needs perfect.

The sound is awesome, can whisper and still hear transmission. However, when using 4 walkie talkies with headsets, transmission is lost part of the time. And using the handsfree mode doesn't work well when working in a crowd. If you talk to someone the headset picks it up and transmits. Would be nice to have a button on the headset to transmit instead of having to use the button on the walkie talkie.

Comments about Motorola Earpiece with Boom Microphone:
The sound clarity on the earpiece is great, but it really isn't much use unless you're sitting still at a desk. The design makes it hard to position on some ears (if you can get it to stay on at all), and it seems all but impossible to keep the mic boom in position. If you're moving around a lot, the mic tends to flop all over the place. If a person were to wear a stocking cap that held the earpiece firmly in place, this could be the perfect hands-free set for their radio. Otherwise, it's not much good in a work environment. Probably great for use in a vehicle.

Comments about Motorola Earpiece with Boom Microphone:
Sound quality good, not great, in noisy, musical environment. A bit uncomfortable to wear. Occasionally reverted to VOX for unknown reasons. Overall a good product that gave good performance.

Comments about Motorola Earpiece with Boom Microphone:
This headset had poor fitting earpiece. It was hard to attach to the ear. Once attached, it started to hurt after awhile. The boom mic was nice that it adjusted toward the mouth, but the sound barrier foam piece fell off with slight touch and was lost immediately making sound quality in a noisy environment poor. Overall disappointed with Motorola on this device.

I use this product for hunting. The ear piece fits great so it's very easy to hear the person on the other end. The quality of the sound is excellent for the price.
Only draw back is that it isn't completely hands free, you still need to push the button on the radio to transmit....

Comments about Motorola Earpiece with Boom Microphone:
Our team uses these with the EM1000R radios. They are a little clumsy to put on and a little out of balance. The earpiece and mic are fully adjustable so they are at least useable.

I bought two of these and they have been wonderful. I had purchase 4 previously and they had started failing. These earpieces feel more solid and sturdy than the previous generation ones.
