Comments about Ilford FP4 Plus 4x5" 25 Sheets Black & White Print Film (ISO-125):
Most of my problems were the result of user error as this semester was my first time using 4x5 format. What I don't like is the lack of grain, but that's a personal preference. The film itself it's very reliable and it's reasonably priced which makes it great for students.

Beautiful Long Tonal range with excellent modulation of values! FP-4 produces wonderful negatives with D-76 1:1 under normal conditions or for situations requiring a boost in contrast and nice compacted values with Ilford Perceptol (EI 50).

I use this product for still life's and landscapes. With overexposure and underdevelopment I get all the information I need to make great prints with this film.

Comments about Ilford FP4 Plus 4x5" 25 Sheets Black & White Print Film (ISO-125):
Still my standard film, developed in PMK, used for spectacular (if I say so myself) 16x20 prints. While a faster film (ISO 400) would be more convenient for field work, the gradation of FP4 is superior: more even contrast, from shadows right through separated whites in clouds. Faster films, to my eye, tend to "cluster" low to middle values around zone IV, which means that value dominates the print.
