Sometimes a very simple thing prevents life from getting very complicated. The MDV50 MiniDV rack from Datrax/Bryco is one such thing, a tough and lightweight rack that holds 50 cased MiniDV tapes. After shoots and during editing, it is all too easy to lose track of your irreplaceable tapes, the MDV50 gives them a secure place to live so you know where they are, when you need them. It takes just a couple of minutes and a few screws to attach the rack to your wall. At this price I use several; one for unused stock, one for current project tapes, one for archives. The modular design means you can just add on as you need the space.

I have cases of tapes for archive, and this rack was perfect for storage. Strong, and it is easily mounted on the wall in my office. I most likely will be purchasing more as I organize my archive.

This is perfect for holding my miniDV's. It has a very solid construction. It does not come with mounting hardware, but its not very hard to find a couple screws that will fit perfect. You can also use it as a freestanding tower.

I own three of these, and they keep my ever growing collection of MiniDV tapes greatly well organized. It would be chaos without these. They are greatly durable, are space efficient, and have held strong for a long time. I would reccomend this product to anyone who is living in MiniDV tape disarray.

Comments about Datrax / Bryco MDV50 MiniDV Plastic Rack:
This is a great way to store old MiniDV tapes. Maybe at some point we'll get rid of the tapes, but until then, this is a clutter free way to keep them organized and safe. We wall mounted 10 of these. FYI, they don't come with mounting hardware.
We primarily use the Panasonic Master Quality tapes and they fit great. The larger clamshell "pro" cases will not fit.

Comments about Datrax / Bryco MDV50 MiniDV Plastic Rack:
I own two of these and plan on buying a third very soon as I'm currently on my 100th cassette. It does what it's supposed to do. The only issue I've ever had with these is that they will not hold a tape if it's not in a case since the ridges that hold them up are rather small.

Comments about Datrax / Bryco MDV50 MiniDV Plastic Rack:
We produce a national television series and over the last decade we have amassed literally thousands of miniDV tapes. And the only way we can organize them all is with the MDV50 plastic tape racks. We use it and we have referred many other television producers to this product as well. It is the only way to organize and store DV tapes.

Comments about Datrax / Bryco MDV50 MiniDV Plastic Rack:
My previous tape holder was a cardboard box sitting in the back of my closet. Now I have my tapes labeled, organized, and mounted neatly next to my workstation. Built sturdy and durable. Only con is you can't link them together with other racks. Intend to buy two more for the rest of my tapes.
