Benbo Mini Trekker Tripod
Benbo tripods can be adapted to the most irregular of terrain angles or conditions. There simply isn't another tripod made that is so incredibly versatile. One large lever locks and unlocks the legs for quick setup and takedown. The Mini Trekker is a versatile tabletop tripod that also works quite well in the field for low-level macro shooting of flowers, insects and the like.

I use this tripod on a tabletop to photograph historical documents at the National Archives in Washington, DC. The tripod legs are not easy to adjust, but once you get the hang of it, you can move the legs and camera post while tightening the lever to secure the position. Aligning the two legs on the camera side of the tripod makes it easier to position the camera above the document. I added a plastic washer between the "geared face" of the tripod head so I could move my light weight camera more precisely. I also added a rubber washer to the screw post so I could tighten the camera without damaging the camera finish. I use a small "string level" to get the camera parallel to the document.
This is the second tripod I purchased, so I could have an assistant work with me.

Attaching the camera requires spinning the camera on b/c there is no nut just a threaded post. This makes it hard to position the camera. If the camera is on the tirpod and you want to adjust it you almost need three hands because all the legs and the beam are all adjusted by one bolt. This often results with akward adjustments.
