With the LE Lens Adapter you can connect your digital zoom camera, camcorder or SLR camera directly to the eyepiece of most telescopes, spotting scopes, microscopes, binoculars or monoculars for eyepiece projection photography.
The #11037 Standard LE-Adapter has 37mm and 52mm male filter threads to attach to any device with 37mm or 52mm female filter threads, but you can also use with devices with female filter threads of 35.5, 40.5, 43, 46, 48 & 49mm by using the stepup rings we've added as recommended accessories to this item. The #11037 Standard LE-Adapter works with eyepieces with outer diameters between 12 & 41mm.
This adapter will not fit telescope T-mounts such as Celestron or Meade, large 2.00" size eyepieces or large spotting scope eyepieces. Use the larger 2-Plus LE Adapters (#11237 & #11228) instead.
All ventures in the world of digiscoping require the use of a sturdy tripod, first and foremost. You must take great care to keep vibrations during exposure to an absolute minimum. Employing a cable release, electronic release or remote control for tripping the shutter is absolutely necessary. And while it is not necessary per se, a mounting bracket will do wonders to reduce vibrations of your rig.
