The Shure M447 cartridge is designed to withstand the rigorous punishment of turntablists and competition DJ battles. The durable M447 features a high track force and polished natural gem stone stylus, designed for preserving vinyl during intense scratching, spin-back and back-cuing.

Bought these cartridge/ headshells for my recently purchased technics 1200 and they look great once installed. The sound quality is great, not necessarily audiofile grade, but great for the all around listener or DJ.
I did have a problem with the output on the left channel for each cartridge, but after cleaning out the tonearm the problem was solved.
Have not owned long enough to notice any wear on the stylus, but they seem very durable so far.

Shure m447 is the standard for quality sound. If you are looking for a great needle. Look no further. I'm starting out as a scratch DJ. And these bad boys have not let me down. Amazing tracking and great sound. I've put these to the test. And they are still going strong. The mounted head shell makes it easy to set up. With the M447's. You can't go wrong.

I did not like the cilindrical pack. Also the needle protector was misaligned showing some problem in assembly line quality control. The cartridge itself was perfect and works as expected.

I am using this awesome setup with my Audio Technica AT-LP120USB Direct Drive, and sound of my old LP's improved drastically. One of the most useful part of this cartridge is a skip protection, which I like it very much, some of my old records were sratched badly, and, to my surprise, this needle flowlessly passed those by with no problem, which is amazing. I am highly recommend this setup for anyone.

The sound quality of this needle is pretty good - it's not the perfect clarity of a super-expensive needle, but it's close enough. It fit right into my Vestax without any problems[...] I didn't have to assemble the cartridge, it came fully assembled right out of the box.

I've been through three headshells, all with different cartridges before I finally decided to pick up the shure's m447. I do alot of heavy scratching and I haven't been able to get this thing to skip! It's pre balanced assembly makes it's so easy to install. The sound quality is everything you expect. My favorite part is the styli gaurd that flips down to protect that precious needle. It comes with all the neccessary tools and weights to adjust your turntables to your personal likings.

I blend records and do a lot of forward and backwards and have historically played outside a lot, sometimes with weather. This is just a good sounding, solid cartridge and stylus. Hooking up the wires (if you have to do that) can be a little maddening. But it goes with the territory. This came pre-assembled.

Great sound quality; mix of penetrating bass with a piercing treble that needs only a light EQ to get tight scratches. Durable and has kept my records in great condition thus far - came in a great casing that is easy to store and travel with.
I use it slightly (less then 40 degrees) off axis for smooth delivery on my cuts.
