Comments about Sunpak 3300 PRO Tripod with 3-Way Pan/Tilt Head (Quick Release) - Supports 11 lb (5 kg):
This tripod was a nice surprise.
For the affordable price, I wasn't expecting
it to work so well. I was also cautioned by
the review saying it is difficult to
get the shoe attached.
The 2 flips on each leg make it easy
and quick to set up.
It is easy to level, and plenty solid for
taking long exposures - even with my
rather heavy equipment (5-9 lbs).
At first it did seem difficult to get the
shoe attached, but after a few tries - it
works smoothly and securely.
This tripod is a little known gem
that works excellently for me when
jumping out of the car to quickly
take a shot of landscapes.
It is not well suited for video because
the panning movement is not smooth -
but they don't advertise it as a
fluid head tripod.
After using it for 3 months I can only
think of minor things that could improve it:
black legs so wildlife don't notice it as easily,
a more standardized square shoe would be nice,
and I had to put tape on the bare metal legs
so my hands wouldn't get so cold carrying
it (in icy weather ;-)
I'm going to get another one - in case
they stop making them.

It is very hard to get the quick release plate out or put itin. And the tripod case is too small to hold this tripod. No air bubble.
