The Sunpak 620-731 Quick Release Plate fits the Ultra Pro series tripods and features a rubberized surface with 1/4"-20 camera screw, video pin, and a built-in bubble level for precision equipment positioning. A quick release plate can be kept attached to the camera's base and allows the user to quickly and easily attach or remove the camera from the tripod without having to waste time fumbling with the threaded mount.

the plate holds very tight. and never gets loose no mater how many times you use it.. this is my 2nd tri pod like this because of that plate.. also on the bottom of my camera it does not stick out under camera and bother your hand .i think sunpak puts out a good product in there tri pods and the plates with there quick release work
