Sony CDP-CX355 300 Disc MegaStorage CD Changer
The Sony CDP-CX355 300 Disc MegaStorage CD Changer was created for the extensive CD collections of music enthusiasts and avid CD listeners alike. The unit also features CD-R/RW playback, so that custom music mixes burned to a CD-R/RW can also be played. An optical digital output is included for connection to a digital recording device such as a CD-R/RW or Mini Disc.
Features on the CDP-CX355 include twin jog dials for easy disc access, and CD Text will display with CDs that support the feature. The unit also has A1II Mega Changer control, an upgradable protocol for remote control of another suitably equipped player, two repeat modes (disc or track), and 32 step program play, providing all the tools needed to organize a CD collection.
A rear panel audio input allows a second CD player to be connected to the CDP-CX355 and a Custom File feature remembers 32 favorite songs, ready for instant access no matter what disc they're on.

First thing you will notice about this CD changer is how very large it is; it has to be large to hold 300 CD's. The actual dimensions are: 7 5/8"H x 17"W x 19 1/8"D (depth is from big knob on from to box-like extrusion on back). After you get past its size, you will notice its fine qualities. This piece of audio equipment holds 300 CD's, it sounds extremely good, it looks very good. I like the feature on the front where I can plug in a standard computer keyboard (does not need any software or operating system). I am going to build a new stereo system around this Sony changer, all Sony components. You will like the way the front door opens and closes to add and remove disks (discs). It is so easy to hook up, unbelievably easy. I will have to read the manual to see what this thing can really do. I recommend it. Hey! Buy this Sony.

Obviously, it might be easier to download your old CD's onto your iPod one by one, but where's the fun in that? This is a great, inexpensive compromise between purchasing a full-size jukebox and listening to only MP3's. For those of you wanting to keep, store, organize, and most importantly, play your CD's this machine is great way to go.

We actually are going to return this (unopened) as the one we have, same exact one, but 20 plus years old, turns out to still be working. There was a broken CD which caused the machine to stop working, so I ordered a new one. I will say that B & H delivered quickly as promised. I would do business with them again.

i have only had this for a short time, but so far , i am very pleased with the quality and performance of the cx355. i was not constrained by space issues , so it's size was not a factor.it was easy to set up and i have just started with it's multiple programming options. it exceeds my expectations.

I was tired of seeing my CD collection scattered about the house, collecting dust. My ripped CDs were of no use with my MP3 Player, or so I thought. I am glad I purchased the CDP-CX355, I did not realize there would be such a dramatic improvement in sound quality over MP3s, especially using a spare optical cable to hook into my 5.1 receiver. I am back listening to true stereo sound with depth of field, distinct separation, and the intricate musical phrases I can hear once again.

I was able to hook CD player up by myself. It interfaced great with my 20 year old stereo component system. Almost filled it up with CD's and since you can hook another CD changer up to this unit, I am considering buying another. I am really fond of the "ALL CD's and SUFFLE" features so I can hear different selectons from different CD's all day long. I am downloading spec's off the B&H site to give to a friend who loves mine!!!

I couldn't find a 5 disc changer to replace my old one, so I bought this one and use 6 or 8 discs at a time in the shuffle mode. It sounds much better than the old changer and is very easy to set up. The only negative aspect is the size. Be sure you check the exterior dimensions and have room for it, it's a pretty large unit.

It is a perfect fit into my entertainment section. Very good display function. Easy to load and categorize the CD's. It is awesome to have up to 300 cd's. It accommodates all my favorites. This was to replace my aged and sick 110 changer. With the Sony label, I know this is a quality product. And the price is very reasonable considering capacity and the Sony brand.

This is a wonderful gift for someone still using CD's as their main source of music, who also has a large number they listen to daily. The display is great and allows the user to enter text for the older versions where this feature may not have been available. Setting it to random to give you the juke box feeling is great!
My favorite part is not having to see a stack of CD's not getting put away when my husband is listening to all of his music.

I bought the cd changer for my dad as a gift for the hoildays. He's one of those fanatics that enjoy the listening to classic cds. He loves the different options available with grouping the cds and setting up playlists. there is some difficultly reading some cds but thats only for a small percentage. Otherwise i could not ask for a better product.
