A must have for in-studio work, or things such as time lapse. It works as intended, though it is rather large for what it is. I'm sure it could have been made more compact/portable.

I use this item primarily for viewing the images on the memory card in my camera. It sure does save precious battery power where I need it: in the field.
The only negative thing I could say about this is that it can be rather clumsy to use, especially if one has to keep it stored away if not being used.

The ACK-800 AC Adapter kit does exactly what it is supposed to do and does it well. I ccan unload my camera without worrying about running down my batteries. Plus, the B&H price is about $30 less than the suggested price from Canon.

Here I have this small camera and I have to deal with this large and clunky AC adaptor. Unfortunately you have to buy it unless you want to use only battery power all the time. It is about double the size of the adaptor for a larger camera own. Come on, Canon, make a miniadapter to go with a small camera. Of course it functions fine. It just takes up way to much space in my backpack. The wires are way too long and heavy. If anyone can point me to a smaller one that would work I would appreciate it.

From the day I purchased my digital camera, I needed an external power supply to provide power to the camera when I was inside or around ac power. This greatly increases the battery life, and ensures I get that shot of be able to shoot that extra long video or the school play.
Another great addition to my digital camera bad.
