Smith-Victor FL110K 2-Light 220 Watt Basic Studio Strobe Kit (120V AC)
The Smith-Victor FL110K 2-Light 220 Watt Basic Studio Strobe Kit (120V AC) is one of our least expensive, 2 light monolight kits. Each light is rated @ 100w/s. This kit provides up to 200 w/s, which is enough power for a small portrait set up.
Each light is switchable between full and 1/2 power, using a switch on the back of each flash head.
To soften the light output, 2 black-backed white umbrellas are included, as well as 2 aluminum stands and a hard carrying case for everything.
As an added extra, a short lighting manual is included, with tips on different lighting techniques.

I use this kit for product photography mainly, and it works wonders. The light is clean, the stands are sturdy, the case is AWESOME! I wish they would have added a 1/4 power option to the lights, because even at half power, these things are bright!
I started in photography using Elinchrome and Speedotron lighting. I needed something that wouldn't break the bank, but wouldn't look like I was trying to be thrifty. This kit solved my problem. Overall, this is a great entry-level kit. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a smaller, easy-to-use, quality monolight kit.
