Acratech Arca-Type Quick Release Adapter with 3/8"-16 Threaded Hole - Standard (Requires Plate)
The Acratech Quick Release Clamp is a quick release adapter that accepts any of the "Arca" style plates, available from Acratech and from Arca-Swiss, Kirk, Wimberly, Really Right Stuff, Foba, etc. It mounts onto a 3/8" screw and comes in a satin black anodized finish.
- Precision C.N.C. machined from 6060-T-6 aluminum
- Knob is secured so it can not come loose and fall off
- Made in the U.S.A.

I purchased this clap to attacked to my Manfrotto 488 ball head which had an existing 3/8" stud.
I am very impressed with the fit and finish of this part. It went on right the firs time and have had no issues to date. The screw works exceptionally fast and allows for fast camera attachments. My only regret is that I did not buy one slightly wider.

I use this on my monopod to make lens changing a snap.
Why have QR plates on everything if you need to remove them to use a monopod, just make life easier and get a QR clamp for your monopod too.

I bought this to add an Arca-type QR system to my existing Bogen Midi ballhead (#488, I think). I attached it to the existing camera platform using red Loctite. After letting it cure, I put it through its paces and it's fantastic. Precisely-manufactured, the quality of finish is superb, operation is as simple as can be, and I can't imagine how it would ever fail or become unreliable except through user error or massive damage to it. Great choice for retrofitting ball heads that one cannot remove the camera platform from before adding a QR clamp. It opens far enough to allow one to set a plate in directly from above rather than slide it in from the end (which is tedious), and the knob tightens quickly.
Great product, you can't go wrong with it if it fits your needs.
