Comments about Acratech Quick Release Plate for Elan 7/7E:
When I upgraded the ballhead on my tripod two years ago, I bought an Arca-type quick-release plate for my Nikon DSLR, but my 400-mm bazooka lens got "left behind." When I rang B&H, the helpful salesman suggested buying this new plate for the camera and putting the older one on the big lens. It all worked out great. I can now shoot lighthouses at a distance with confidence and this new plate is a sturdy accessory for my DSLR.

Nothing special about this quick release plate beside that it has a lip so your camera doesn't rotate.

Not much to say about this, other than it fits perfectly on my camera and into the QR bracket.

I used this for my Nikon D80, its well constructed and looks very sturdy. Don't have problems with rotation and it is holding pretty well on a Markins Traveller Ballhead
