Comments about Newcon LRM-1500 Laser Rangefinder (Black):
I used it on the field and it handles well, and seems to be well built. It fits well in the hand and the buttons are easy to reach. The options are easily accessible and selectable, and I specially liked being able to change the target sight (crosshair or square). The square is specially useful for targets at longer ranges.
I've been able to get ranges up to 1000m (1093 yards), but only with targes with high reflectivity. As I use it on a boat, it's difficult to get reading from far targets due to the rocking of the boat. It must be kept steady on the target to get a good reading. Closer targets are easy, far away ones need a steady hand.
I used it side by side with a Bushnell 1200, looking at the same targets and the Bushnell is quicker acquiring targets from 300m to 800m. In closer ones, both get almost instant readings. But the Bushnell got ranges only up to 800m, while the Newcon went up to 1000m, even if I needed to press the range button 3 or 4 times. Curiously they differed in 4m in all closer readings, probably some calibration problem.
Overall its a good equipment.
