The Bowens Esprit Digital 500DX is a precision 500 watt/second monolight designed especially for digital photography.
Built to the same high standards as the rest of the Bowens Esprit range, the Esprit 500DX offers unprecedented precision and repeatability of output in an advanced design, to complement today's sophisiticated digital imaging tools.

- Having the ability to drop down to 1/32 of full power allows more choices of aperture settings.

- Digital interface that can be adjusted in 0.1 stop increments

- The most demanding photographer will be able to work with the recycling speed of 1.4 seconds at full power.

- At full power, the 500DX flash fires at 1/700 second -- it can easily stop motion.

- 5500°K color temperature at all power levels

- Voltage Stablilized to +/- 0.05 of an f-stop within each range

I can't say anything bad about these lights. Been shooting with them for three weeks and haven't had a problem. I wish I would have bought the kit instead of trying to build my own. Would have saved a lot of money.
