The Lowepro DryZone 200 Backpack (Gray) is a totally waterproof, soft-sided 600 denier TXP and 2000 denier ballistic nylon camera backpack. The inner DryPod with patented, waterproof TIZIP zipper provides 100% watertight protection. It's like a dry suit for your equipment. When less protection is needed, leave the TIZIP open and fasten just the inner zipper and top clip for easier access.
The DryZone 200 has a heavy-duty, padded camera compartment inside that is fully customizable. The outer shell comes complete with a technical backpack harness that includes an ergonomic lumbar support and fully adjustable CollarCut shoulder straps. There is a tuck-away tripod holder; self-draining mesh pockets; drain hole; rubber handle; and attachment loops for SlipLock accessories.

Comments about Lowepro DryZone 200 Backpack (Gray):
Have not had a chance to use it yet. My intended use is to transport equipment by rafts, boats and over areas of water.
I do not intend to use it as an everyday bag. If I was, I would keep the waterproof zipper open for faster access to equipment. The waterproof zipper/seal is very hard to move.
The look and feel of the bag are professional grade. I purchased a Lowepro Mini Trekker over 15 years ago as my every day bag and I am still using it. So I stayed with Lowepro Brand.

Comments about Lowepro DryZone 200 Backpack (Gray):
This bag will fit under a airline seat and I was even more surprised when it fit under the seat of a small puddle jumper airplane. The waterproof seal is airtight. While flying it created its own vacuum from the presser. I will be taking this bad to Antarctica.
This bag will hold all of my camera gear.

Comments about Lowepro DryZone 200 Backpack (Gray):
The most photogenic places on earth are often the hardest on photo gear--The DryZone 200 allows you to take your good camera with you to such places, when you might otherwise not risk it. This bag has been with me to the Galapagos where it was subjected to surf and sea spray daily during Zodiac rides and wet beach landings; also, to Canada, Alaska, and recently to Zion where it was my main backpack for the full top-down hike through the Virgin River Narrows. There it was fully submerged for several minutes during an unintended (!) slip into the rapids. Through it all, my camera, lenses, and equipment have remained unscathed and bone-dry. The waterproof zipper is of heavy-duty construction and is stiff when new, but if you lubricate it with the petroleum jelly provided, it tracks easily. The inner partitions are held in place with really strong Velcro and are completely customizable. Outside mesh packets provide ready access for a hat or extra water bottles. Multiple zippered pockets allow easy organization of small items (cell phone, filters, pens, etc.) both in the main compartment and in the easily accessed outside flap. The bag meets airline dimensions for carry-on gear, and serves well in that capacity, too.
This bag is well made, serious gear for those who REALLY want to "Get out there" and take their camera with them.

Comments about Lowepro DryZone 200 Backpack (Gray):
i am a architectural photographer using this backpack as my primary camera case.
its works great!
the waterproof section does not have to be zipped up until needed.
its well made, i'm using camera and 4 len's and other stuff all fitting into the waterproof section.
the waterproof zipper takes a good pull to close, but that's not a negative to me.
i feel much safer in the canoe now!
could be a problem at the airport i dont think it'll go under the seat, but it probably will go in the overhead on big planes i suspect it will be an issue on small planes.

Comments about Lowepro DryZone 200 Backpack (Gray):
This is an enormous bag. The concept of having a waterproof bag that holds a ton of lenses and what have you is great. However, the way the bag is designed is completely unfriendly. It takes a good amount of muscle to even open the bag due to its TIZIP zipper. Lowepro's on the right track but unless you want a bag to only store equipment in and plan on getting dumped off a boat and into the ocean this bag is quite excessive in size and utility.
