I bought this lens case in addition to the Nikon hard case that came with the lens originally ,it's easier to carry than the Nikon hard case,I mainly store the Nikon AFS 28-70mm f:2.8 or the Nikon AFS 17-35 f:2.8 with the hood on,reversed. The latter is a bit loose due to smaller size compare to the former. The lens fit comfortably and securely inside the nice padded interior ,The exterior is said to be water resistant by Lowepro, but I wish with this price it should come with the rain cover as it is with the Lowepro backpack AW, I live in the Pacific NW where has more rain than some other parts of the country and the rain cover is such an added protection, besides that , this is an excellent lens case for those fat and short zoom lenses that you may have in your gear arsenal . Highly recommended .

It is bulky and to big for me. Despite that, it is good case with thick protective materials.
Canon 16-35 2.8 fits with hood in regular position. The lens without the hood would be loose, bouncing everywhere, but with hood it is tight enough.
Canon 24-70 2.8 fits with hood reversed. With that it is tight enough without it is loose like 16-35mm above.
This case seems big you probably don't want to attach it to a belt on your side because it sticks out a lot. Just cary it on your shoulder. I recommend the Lowepro 2S case for the same lenses. That you can attach comfortably on a belt or outside your backpack or shoulder bag. I attach them to lowepro s&f reprter 500aw (older replaced by 550) this way these 2 lenses are accesable easier and faster then opening the bag. They seem to be tighter but you can not leave the lens hood on the lens with the 2S.

Larger than I expected but works great. I use it for my 18 - 200mm w/ lens hood on!

Returned Lens Coat I purchased with Canon 70-300 IS/USM and replaced it with this excellent Lowepro case for only about [$] more. Lens fits fine with hood reversed. Perhaps I'm paranoid, but I felt the Lens coat might prevent cosmetic damage to my (expensive for me)lens, but not help at all for crushing, dropping, etc.. Might take up a bit more space, when empty, but I think kit's worth it. Plenty of carry/attach options.

The only case I've found that will fit my 14-24mm f/2.8 comfortably. Now I can carry it on my Lowepro belt when I'm really on the go.

I purchased this case to carry and protect my Zuiko 2/ 150 mm lens. Needless to say that this expensive [$]masterpiece deserves care; besides I found that it is very handy to use the 4S in combination with my Lowepro Waistbelt.Sliplock universal attachment makes it very easy and secure to attach the 4S to the belt, or most of commercially available (not only Lowepro)photo-bags. For instance, it perfectly matches my original Olympus E-series bag.Yes, it is a bit bulky, but the lens is not small, too...

Great case to protect medium size tele's. I swap my Canon 24-105mm and 10-22mm lenses while shooting. Allows for easy storage for both lenses with hood in place (not reversed) which is very important in minimizing lens swap times.

These are the best lens cases going. This one is large, well padded, with quality zippers and a strap.

I use this with the Lowepro backpack and belt system for storing and carrying my lenses in the field. Provides great protection against bumps
and falls. Although the case is water resistant, I would prefer it to be water proof for the times I am caught in the field in a downpoor.

Simply the best lens case. Fantastic padding and protection. It also has multiple ways to carry the case, example, belt strap, shoulder, or using their SlipLock System, which attaches to other packs that follow that system.

I needed this case to replace a Tamrac case that wasn't large enough to carry my lense. This case is much bigger than the Tamrac case listed for the same size lenses possibly a little too big but atleast it does hold the lenses indicated.

I bought a Sony 11-18mm lens and got a great deal. This was the perfect match for my lens. I only wanted the best to protect it. My experience with my other Lowepro lens cases has me convinced that it is the best. It is by far, the best case I haev used. It has more than enough cushion and fits on my belt with my other lens cases. I like the "double-lock" velcro tabs that ensure that the case can NEVER be dislodged accidentally. I have tried Tamrack and other cases but this style is just what the field photographer needs. I will continue to buy Lowepro equipment because it is field proven by me.

This is great for the Sony 500 MM lens. The case is rugged, tightly closed and well padded for the mirror lens. It clips safely/secure to my LowePro 200 AW camera pack. I also use it as a stand alone with just the camera. LowePro makes great products. I use this in cold weather -20F, and does not get stiff.
