Often it is necessary or desirable to balance the light intensity in one part of a scene with another. This is especially true in situations where you don't have total light control, as in bright contrasty landscapes. Sometimes it is also desireable to add color to part of the photograph. For example, to add blue to only the sky. Lee Color Graduated filters are half-color, half-clear, with a graduated transition for blending into the scene. They are available in an array of colors.
This filter fits the Cokin P series holder.

Comments about LEE Filters Graduated Twilight Resin Filter - Fits Cokin P:
I use this filter in conjunction with my Cokin P holder and filters. The filter is slightly longer than the Cokin P series filters and while this dosen't cause a problem for using the Cokin P system, it may not fit into some Cokin filter cases.
I often use the filter for enhancing blues and purples for a little more of a dramatic appearance, particularily when shooting at dusk. The filter is of great quality and comes with a high quality filter pouch, unlike the cheap plastic cases that the Cokin filters come in.
I find the filter is rather subtle on its own although stacking it with other graduated neutral density filters or additional twilight filters can enhance the effect.

It works great to balance the exposure of the sky against the exposure setting for the land.
