International orders*The Epson C12C811155 24" Paper Roller Spindle is an optional accessory for the Stylus Pro 7600, 7800, & 7880 printers. It is intended for using roll media that is on a 2-3" diameter inner core.
This is the 'high tension' version, which is required for certain media that need this high tension spindle, such as Epson Premium Photo Paper, Epson Synthetic Paper, or Epson Adhesive Synthetic Paper.

Comments about Epson 24" Paper Roller Spindle:
The purpose of this spindle is to create a greater tension than there is with the regular one that comes with the printer. The tension is created through the little knob in the center of the pole - that sits in the printer. the regular spindle has tension which feels like turning a doorknob with ones finger tips. The high tension spindle has tension which could be compared to wringing a rag with ones finger tips. An Epson rep. explained that this reduces 'micro-banding' from the paper. However, a professional (not connected with this site) said that one does not necessarily need this spindle; it is only if you see banding in the printout when using such paper as Premium Luster. However if it is printing fine (even the luster) than the regular spindle is fine. At the price that it costs (which is slightly surprising - and also couldn't they just put a little control in the regular to make it tighter...) you can try it - it will not break the printer or anything, it's only to keep the paper taught. If you see banding - especially at the beginning or end of the printout, then buy the HT spindle.
