Schneider's 4x4" UV-410 Ultraviolet-Blocking glass filter effectively reduces or eliminates photographic haze in areas where the atmospheric conditions contain a heavy concentration of dust particles, water droplets, and pollution.
- Helps eliminate such conditions often found in mountainous or coastal regions, and industrial areas that scatter light and produce a bluish cast that causes film to render a lack of color, contrast and overall image quality
- By filtering out ultraviolet light below 410 nanometers, the Schneider UV-410 blocks the blue cast, penetrates haze and permits the film to capture vivid colors and sharper detail
- The Schneider UV-410 is available to fit all professional matte boxes

Comments about Schneider 4x4" UV-410 Glass Filter:
This filter costs more than most of the competitors, so I thought it would be better. Not true! This filter causes weird hazy flares in the lens or sometimes red & green blotches of light, almost like a prism. Of course you always get some flare when you point the lens into a light, even cool ones, but these flares from this filter are ugly and unorganized. If I slide out the filter from the matte box, almost all the flare goes away! [...]
