This is a set of two identical plastic "squeeze-type" wrenches. They may be helpful in removing a "stuck" filter (62-77mm) from your lens.

I have had problems many times where two or more of my filters get stuck together when trying to take them apart to use on a lens. I have often had to struggle to get them apart. Or, they were on a lens and the same happened when I wanted to take them off. It sometimes took a lot of effort to get them off. I once even broke a filter trying to get it off the lens.
Now that I have these filter wrenches, it makes it much easier to get the filters apart or off a lens. They work just GREAT :)! I would recommend them to anyone who has a lot of filters that they do not always use on their lenses or change filters from one lens to another.

These are 3mm thick plastic which bend and wobble. If the filter is not on tight it can remove it. I found that using the pair of them together works much better. However they do have a tendency to slide around on a tight filter. I glued a rubber band to one and it worked better, however it did reduce the max filter size it could be used on. If it came with a rubber grip it would be worth it.

Comments about General Brand Filter Wrench (Set of 2):
These are completely and utterly useless. They are made of weak, brittle plastic that has almost no grip on the filter. I snapped the handle (needed for torque) on one the first time I tried to use it.

I have in the past had stuck filters. So I saw these and bought them. However, they are flimsy! They might do the job when it happens again but I'm a little concern with their quality.

Comments about General Brand Filter Wrench (Set of 2):
If you use filters, you need a pair of these (there's also a smaller size for 52 mm filters), especially for those slim design polarizers that are almost impossible to get hold of any other way.

Was anxious to get these but when they finally came I was extremely disappointed these things do not work at all for loosening tight filters .No matter how hard I tried I couldn"t get them to work far too flexible to loosen a tight polarizer filter from my Canon 60D Sigma 17-50 2.8 lens. I was able to finally loosen using my hands, thumbs down on this product. REGRET THIS PURCHASE.

The wrenches are a bit flimsy but you know, for the price, they work. And I was in a serious pinch as I could not get my lenses apart without damaging them. So I am pleased with the product and most certainly your quick service. Thanks!!

I got this product after a few reccomendations when trying to deal with a stuck filter lens. I must have really done a job on my lens though, I still can't get it off. The wrench bends before I can get enough torque on it...and I am terrified of ruining my lens. I'll see if my husband has better luck with it. These are probably really handy, but not quite strong enough for this particular situation.

Hey, it's plastic with serrations inside for a big [$].If it's REALLY stuck, you'll have a hard time getting THAT much pressure on these before they break or twist on you. But for the average and occasional problem they're fine.

it would be better if made of metal covered by some sort of rubber. It does its job most of the times but often it slips and bends.

While inexpensive, not cheap. The wrenches feel like they are made of good quality plastic that has a bit of bend in them but is strong enough to get the job done.

Comments about General Brand Filter Wrench (Set of 2):
Occasionally a polarizer will get stuck on a lens. I use thin polarizers so there's very little room to grab onto the filter. Normally I'd pop the lens into the fridge or freezer BRIEFLY and the difference in contraction allows me to get the filter off, but I don't like using this method. And while traveling, this isn't available. I have rubber jar-cover openers but they haven't worked. After buying the set of wrenches [...], I held my breath as I tried it, half expecting it not to work. In about 5 seconds, I had the filter off! I wish the handles were a little thicker. So now I keep one in my camera bag, and one in my wife's, because the last thing I need is a light-hogging filter on a lens when I don't need it!

To be short and simple...
If you cannot unscrew the stuck filters with your bare hands, you will no be able to do it with these plastic wrenches either.
I ended up taking my filters to a photography store, where they have better tools, and the unscrewed them for free.

Comments about General Brand Filter Wrench (Set of 2):
I had a UV filter that had been slightly bent when the lens was dropped and had tried all the usual tricks to remove it without success. Well these didn't work either! I can see who they may be useful if a filter is only slightly too tight they may work otherwise they just bend when the ears are strongly gripped.
