This Impact Posing Stool is very similar, but costs less than the one named after a photographer.

What I like about this stool is that it has no castors - it stays where you put it; and it has 10" of vertical adjustability, compared to office task stools that usually have only about 5".
The first stool I received sagged about halfway down when an adult sat on it when fully elevated. I returned it and the second one only sags about an inch, which I think is about normal for air cushioned adjustable stools.
Some reviewers of this stool complain that it comes apart too easily. The stool I returned would not come apart at all - I had to ship it back fully assembled.
I like this stool fully elevated for portraits of children, because I don't need to get so low, and because it is too high for them to easily get down, so they stay put.
The build-quality of the stool is good. The stool itself is unphotogenic. If the stool will show in the photograph, a nice bar-stool is a better choice.

Posing stool did not require any tools to assemble and was ready to use in minutes.

Comments about Impact Posing Stool - 20-30" (51x76.2cm):
As others have said, it takes a lot of pressure to get it to go down and when you sit in it it will sink from the original height and then come back up again when you stand back up. This makes it hard to set the exact height.

I wanted a very simple posing stool to use in my studio. I purchased two of them and so far, they have worked wonderfully. They are very easy to adjust and very easy to move.

Economical and just what I needed - I am using this for my headshot photography service. I just wanted an easily adjustable stool - and this one fits the bill. Worth more than I paid - I like it so much, I am buying a second one! And when I do, I got two for less than I expected to pay for one.

Comments about Impact Posing Stool - 20-30" (51x76.2cm):
Assembled in < 1 minute. Seems very sturdy. Cylinder is very powerful, almost to a fault. It will actually raise a 30-pound child on its own... I'm 6' 2" & 260, and I have to practically lay on it to get it to go down. My 70-pound son can't get it to lower on his own. One of the small nuisances is that it doesn't hold rigidly when set. At any setting other than the lowest, it will depress about an inch or two when you sit on it, then it will raise back to its set position when you get up. This seems to be a design flaw, not a malfunction. Not really a huge problem, though. Still seems worth the price.
I bought two at the same time, which is great for family posing. I could see having a third on hand as well.

These are nice and sturdy stools. The only thing i wish is that they would go a little lower to the ground. I am going to have to get some foot blocks to accomated some people. Overall I am impressed with them.

This is a very nice looking stool and is very easy to put together. The only downside I have found so far is that if you are not sitting in it and trying to lower it, it is very hard to push down. Otherwise, it seems to be very good quality and was a very good price.

Lazy? No, just being able to easily maintain eye-level and lessen my back pain. Light-weight, well-made.
