Comments about Ilford Hypam Print/Film Fixer for Black & White Materials 5 liter:

I've been looking for an economical fixer for film processing. This meets my needs and is easier to use than powders or mixing my own from scratch. Plus it's really fast -- less than a minute to clear most films, and even TMax-P3200 clears in less than two minutes with fresh fixer. The only limitation is that it's non-hardening, but that's not much concern with modern films. Ilford doesn't recommend a hardening fixer any more as films are mostly pre-hardened.

Comments about Ilford Hypam Print/Film Fixer for Black & White Materials 5 liter:

This fix is the best all around fix. It works rapidly and efficiently. Already in solution it is far neater and more convenient than powder fixes. There is no hardener in this formula which is great for those photographic dinosaurs like myself who develop in pyro or PMK and need an alkaline fix to promote development of the pyro stain, or any process that calls for an un-tanned or unhardened gelatin layer.
