This convenient video adapter features a "mini-VGA" connector on one end and a combination composite video/S-video output on the other end. It is intended for displaying your iBook, PowerBook G4 (12"), eMac (with AirPort Extreme), or 17-inch iMac (1GHz)display on a full-size video screen. It transfers video only.
Note: This adapter requires an iBook without an external reset button and other Apple computers with a mini-VGA port.

I have an old iBook G4 and was desperate to hook it up to my HDTV to be able to watch dvds from other regions. This cable is very hard to find since they discontinued manufacturing stuff for iBooks a long time ago. Price was definitely worth it too! [...] Highly recommend it! Computer's desktop on the big screen is almost unreadable (resolution problem) but to watch movies/videos, it's perfect.

I was pleased with this product though I would advise if you are thinking about using it to link to an HDTV that you invest in the HDMI adapter even though the cables are more costly, especially if you plan on downloading video.
Also, don't forget the audio as this is only a video adapter.
